At My Development Organization, we are dedicated to supporting those who have lost everything, especially the most vulnerable among them: children. The conflict in Gaza has left a generation of children with deep emotional and psychological scars. For many who have found refuge in Egypt, the trauma continues to affect their daily lives, making it difficult to learn, play, and simply be children.
We recognized an urgent need that goes beyond physical necessities. While we have provided hot meals and other forms of humanitarian aid, we knew that true recovery requires addressing the unseen wounds of war. That’s why we launched a comprehensive program to provide education and psychological support to Gazan child refugees in Egypt.

A Safe Space to Learn
In a world turned upside down, a consistent, nurturing learning environment can be a lifeline. Our program offers safe, welcoming spaces where children can continue their education without fear. We provide educational materials, and our dedicated teachers use a flexible, trauma-informed curriculum that allows children to learn at their own pace. This not only helps them catch up on missed schooling but also restores a sense of routine and normalcy that is crucial for their well-being

Mending Invisible Wounds
The psychological impact of conflict on children is profound. They often suffer from anxiety, nightmares, and post-traumatic stress. Our program includes professional psychological support, offering both individual and group therapy sessions. Through art, play, and guided discussions, our mental health specialists help children process their experiences and develop healthy coping mechanisms. Our goal is to empower them to heal from their trauma and build resilience for the future.
This initiative is a testament to the power of a holistic approach. By addressing both their educational needs and their mental health, we are giving these children a chance to reclaim their childhood and build a foundation for a brighter, more hopeful future. We are so grateful to our generous donors and dedicated partners who make this life-changing work possible. Thank you for helping us provide hope, healing, and a new beginning for these brave children.
